Potential Risk of Cosmetic Damage During Some Repairs

Recently phone manufactures have started to make devices less and less repairable, in hopes that the end user will “buy a new one” if they break it. To do so, they have added many hurdles when doing a repair, such a LCD displays bonded to glass and paint that chips away when opening a device.

Unfortunately as devices are becoming more and more breakable, they are also more difficult to repair. While our techs are very skilled at their jobs, on some repairs there is a very small chance that some “cosmetic damage” could occur when the tech has to open up the device.

Although this cosmetic damage is very uncommon, it is possible to happen on some of the newer Samsung devices and other devices. This usually is in the form of pant being peeling from behind the screen.

This is a case-by-case situation, but we still want to make sure you are aware of the risks when bringing your device in. If the paint does slightly peel, there is nothing we can do to fix this unless you are willing to pay for the entire LCD panel to be replaced.
